WE Are The View

Skipjack was my very first job at 15, and ironically, it was also the first job for our two oldest children! Needless to say, this place has always held a special place in my heart. Our boat has been here for a few years, and we’ve built lasting friendships within both the boating and local communities-this is truly HOME for us. So, when I got an email last summer saying they were struggling to keep “Signals” open for the Fourth of July Holiday week due co staffing issues, our family jumped in to help. What started as temporary help quickly became what many now call a “Family Affair”. From my Mama holding it down in the kitchen to our Kids serving and barrending … and building, to my Husband wearing the “Chefl’ hat until we found one-we’ve filled every role with family, friends, and friends of friends. We’ve poured our hearts into making this a place where you can unwind, meet up with friends, and enjoy great food with live entertainment on the weekends. Our menu reflects our commitment to quality and health, shaped by our own journey through some very tough health challenges … n1inus a few indulgences! We serve generous 8 oz protein portions (except for our house made lump crab cakes, which are 5 oz each), and we fry with organic, grass-fed beef tallow, no seed oils! But The View isn’t just about food-it’s about atmosphere. We’ve curated an entertainment lineup not just for slip holders, but for the whole local community to enjoy. And now, about the new name-yes, this deck has one of the best views around as the pure serenity of nature rarely disappoints, but “The View” has another meaning, too. “V” is for Val, “E” is for Eric, “W” is for Walters…and the “i”? Well, that’s me-stuck in the middle. Middle child, middle class, yada yada yada. We hope you feel the warmth of friendly faces and the comfort of good company. We may not always get it perfect, but we’ll do our best to make it right. So kick back, sip on something refreshing, enjoy a great meal and take in “The View”!
